In addition, it balances pH level of the skin, which is very important to maintain even and clear skin. Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking soda with enough filtered water or rose water to make a paste. Apply the paste on your face.Baking soda can be used as a facial cleanser to remove dead skin cells, oil or dirt from the skin. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne and scars.

Method 1:

Make a baking soda paste: In a small bowl, mix a 1/2 cup of baking soda with a few tablespoons of water. Adjust the ratio of both as needed until you have a spreadable paste. For me this took about 3 tablespoons of water to get the desired spreadable consistency.

Method 2:

Mix 1 tablespoon of corn flour, 1 teaspoon each of turmeric and baking soda, a few drops of rose water and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Apply on the face and neck as a mask. Leave it on for about 20 – 30 minutes and wash with cool water.

4.Yogurt mask for Acne Scars:


Ingredients: Two tablespoons of fresh milk, two tablespoons of honey, one freshly squeezed lemon, one tablespoon of yogurt and lukewarm water.
Preparation: Simply mix all of the ingredients until you get the lotion.
Application: Apply a layer of lotion on your face and neck. Wait a few minutes until it dries.  Apply another layer and continue the process until there’s no more lotion. When you’re done, wait about ten minutes, and then rinse with warm water.
Tips: Use a mask three or four times a week. Never use the leftovers, always prepare a fresh one.
